IFTA School Sports Days:
Indoor Agility Challenge (5 stations) + “Fun in Athletics” relay Coaching in shools

The IFTA team will bring the Agility Challenge to your school and present some of the exciting relays from the Fun in Athletics program. This flexible format can be delivered indoors or outdoors depending on the weather and facilities. The Sports Day includes: administration, equipment set-up, implementation and teachers’ resource pack containing Wall Charts, Instructional Handbook and DVD.

Due to generous support from the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion we are able to offer a free data recording and processing service with all Agility Challenge and Soccer events. All schools will be given a CD with all their children’s performances and fitness levels. IFTA can further assist with personal improvement targets for each child.

An IFTA Development Officer will contact you to tailor the program to your school's needs. It requires: staff, volunteers or older students to assist, the number of which will depend on the number of children participating and the agreed format of your day.
Bonus! If you book and IFTA School Sports Day your school will be invited to enter a team into a Fun in Athletics inter-school competition free of charge.


IFTA Soccer Skills Challenge:

A new and exciting way for all children to learn the basic skills required to play soccer. The IFTA team will bring all the equipment to your school and work with one class at a time to provide an enjoyable and educational session for participating children. Requires some staff or older students to assist.



Infant Agility (4-12 stations) JK-Grade 2
$750 per full day (approx 6 Hours) or $580 half day (approx 3 Hours)
 

Infant Agility is a response to the growing demand for fun activities for the early years. To develop this new program we have worked with leading sports consultants, educational specialists and most importantly the children themselves to find out what makes the activities enjoyable and educational. The result is a set of 12 events grouped into 3 sets.

NEW! IFTA Track and Field Days
$850 per full day (approx 6 Hours) or $680 half day (approx 3 Hours)

IFTA will manage your schools track day tryouts. Our team will set up all the events and train your staff or older students in the correct methods of judging and organizing events such as 100m, hurdles (the safety type), triple jump, long jump and safe javelins. Additional instruction will be given to your students to ensuring they learn the correct basic techniques.

• Motivational Speaking

IFTA Development Officer Milt Ottey is an accomplished motivational speaker. He has spoken for the Canadian Olympic Committee and was a regular participator in the Ontario Government’s Act Now “to inspire children to live healthier lifestyles. Milt is available to come to school or other community events. Rates: $400 for organizations who are involved in IFTA programs or $600.00 for external organizations.

• Coaching in Schools
This is a dynamic workshop available for elementary school teachers, to familiarize them with the basic techniques of Running, Jumping and Throwing. ( 100m & 200m Sprints - Long Jump– Triple Jump – High Jump - Shot – Javelin

• Agility Challenge Course
This is a dynamic workshop available with every set of equipment purchased, or as a stand-alone course for teachers wishing to utilize FIA equipment. Familiarization is presented to a group (max 20) that will enable them to set-up, organize and score Triathlon, Pentathlon and Decathlon Agility Challenges. Common applications, adaptations and safety guidelines are discussed and illustrated. $450.00-$600

• Fun in Athletics (FIA) Course
Fun In Athletics Competitions involve many of the Agility Challenge events and select relays in a unique format for teams. An FIA Course provides familiarization to the events and formats, along with event management guidelines as part of preparation for organizing and delivering Fun in Athletics competitions. This course is suitable for coaches as well as students who are involved in judging, scoring and leadership. $450.00-$600

• Pacesetter Course
For the club coach, teacher or specialist that is interested in coaching development. Pacesetter is a comprehensive program that covers all of track and field athletics. Using PACESETTER – WORKING WITH YOUNG ATHLETES as the background resource, technical progressions, conditioning guidelines and safety perspectives form the core of the presentation. As a complement to Fun In Athletics courses this session utilizes the full set of FIA equipment in addition to regular event specific equipment. Emphasis is placed on strategies and programming for young athletes. Related resource materials are included with the course fee. $450.00-$600
